Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, Puy-deDomme France in August 9th 1976. Audrey is the largest child among four children. Audrey's parents as a dentist and teacher, were aware of and supported their daughter's passion for theater and drama at the age of a stage novice. Their support was enough to thwart her initial ambition to be a an animal scientist. When she was a teenager, her rise to stardom was quick and accompanied by initial successes. The beginning of her career came at the age of 1999 when she started acting professionally. Following her studies Tautou was a participant in the French TV show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers. While she attended The Institut Catholique de Paris and went to church as a child, Tautou is now averse to the Catholic tradition, saying she's not Catholic. Apart from her acting career she is also pursuing modeling. The model was in the commercials for L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and has been referred as "The Chanel Muse". Apart from her acting career she is also interested in photography. She recently exhibited some of her photographs in the Arles Film Festival, under the name Superficial. In her photographs, she is mainly focused on celebrities and fame. The camera is turned on journalists who examined her as she rose to fame in Amelie. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and international fame with her first big role, starring as a lead character in The Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie is a box office hit internationally and praised at many award events around the globe. It's the highest-grossing French film made in America. After the film, she appeared in a variety of films, ranging from British dramas up to Jean Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. After that, she shifted to Hollywood and was in the film with Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
