Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
One child was strapped onto my back, while the other crawled in the playground. I spent 12 hours days for months sanding and removing wallpaper, while carrying one kid. Ha! We were getting closer to finishing, but the project was still a distance away. It was going to take an enormous amount of effort and shopping my favorite to furnish this home. To keep my budget in good shape, I went out with my 3 boys looking for deals at estate sales. Our weekly routine that consisted of spending Thursday through Saturday walking around estate sales and garage sales purchasing new and old objects. I spent the rest of the week sanding and painting the driveway. My first impression was similar to... that's the moment my love for restoring furniture began. The issue was not whether the house was already furnished. There was a place on the market in town in which I sold my pieces. Then, my collection got to the point that the space I had available was not enough. My home was where I started hosting open houses in which more than 1000 people could come in to purchase anything they wanted on the first floor within a single weekend. That's how my company Growing Days was born. The business I was running was growing however my family was growing too. It was like I found the ideal way to balance being a mom as well as starting my own venture. Growing Days was the obvious choice. In 2013, my sweet daughter Nora came along our 4th baby. I loved where my business was going, but I wanted to take a breather. I decided to slow down to spend time at home, spending time with my family. The time was right. After a few minutes the phone started ringing. They were asking for assistance with interior decorating and home renovations. These people had mostly visited my house at the open houses that were held for furniture. After a while I began to take on customers at my pace. Soon I had several accounts and a home remodeling business. I'm sure you would have amused me if I had told you that it would be the foundation of a DIY Network tv series. In fact, I do smile when I think about the idea.
